Paradise defense is an arcade game where you play a soldier who needs to destroy all the robots on an island in order to save the world. The graphics are very good considering the game is only 27 megabytes in size, and the controls are very accurate.
The down side of this game is that you have small variation of weapons, 4 in total. You have a machine gun that has unlimited ammo but does very little damage. You have the Shotgun that causes much damage but has a limited number of rounds. The C4 remote detonator which is very useful in Boss fights. Lastly, there is the Rocket launcher that does massive damage, but you receive few rounds and must be used accordingly.
The robots you fight against are also not that many, 6 in total. The AI is done well and they will try to overwhelm the soldier by attacking him from all sides constantly. This adds difficulty to the game and also makes it competitive. The bosses are the most intelligent by far and you need to outsmart them in order to defeat them. Just standing and fighting them will get your soldier killed.
The tutorial is On the go, meaning that a Sergeant figure appears in the bottom of the screen and gives you some instructions as you advance through the levels. The main purpose of the game is to survive till the last level and obtain the highest score.
Paradise defense is a well made game, rather short but a lot of fun to play.
